About Me
Hi, I am 48 and getting back into riding. My first horse "Prince" was a 14h black standie. He was about 20 years old when I got him in 1968, I was 7 and totally in love with this fat, fluffy (winter coat) big teddy bear. My sister on her welsh show pony would laugh and say we looked like the cartoon "Penelope" fat horse and little kid plonked on top. I was not impressed as I visualised more of the sleek arabian, flowing mane etc....Oh well, I had a horse and he was the apple of my eye. Prince taught me soooo much, there is not room here to say all the things we got up to. Prince would not float, shoe, tie up, be caught or anything else easy. He hated men and was terribly head shy, but us kids could do anything with him, he would just stand and behave, nothing fazed him. I don't know his history but I had 10 years with Prince and would not swap that for anything, he died on our property, just of old age and a hard life, well at least the last 10 where fun, lots of love, carrots and cuddles from a gratefull little girl.:D My ambition now is to lose weight, get a second standie and enter us in the local show in about a years time. I have a long way to go but I know this time I will lose the weight because I have a reason to. Wish me luck. Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text.
